During the month of April, Canlin Energy Corporation (“Canlin”) established a number of staff-driven initiatives in support of the families of Josh, Lawrence, Zachariah, Jordan and Kaiti for the construction of Quinterra Legacy Garden in South Glenmore Park, Calgary’s first fully dedicated interactive musical park and performance space.
In order to bring increased awareness to this important cause, the wifi login password utilized by Canlin staff and visiting guests within the Calgary head office and at field sites throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC, was changed to “Quinterra-Legacy-Garden” for the month of April, with an accompanying staff memo and email link that took readers directly to Quinterra Legacy Garden.
To raise donations in support of Quinterra, Calgary staff were also encouraged to make a contribution to the project and in doing so, Canlin allowed contributing employees to wear jeans to work for the week of April 8th. Additionally, staff participated in a draw for various prizes donated by a staff member, with proceeds from all ticket sales going directly to Quinterra. Coupled with a $ matching program against staff contributions, plus a donation challenge amongst the Canlin senior executives, total contributions to the Quinterra Legacy Garden Fund by Canlin’s Calgary office exceeded $20,000.
Canlin and its staff are proud supporters of Quinterra Legacy Garden and what it represents to the five families involved. We challenge all of corporate Calgary to give generously to this very special project.
